To those who are asking or thinking, “why don’t blacks care when a black person kills another black person?” all I have to say to you is, “What the fuck do you think the stop the violence movement is for?” White/Asian/Native/Latino people didn’t start it and it wasn’t targeted at them, it was targeted at black people!
Besides, when we do it, it perceivably doesn’t affect your community so you don’t pay attention to it. So the question you need to be asking is not, “Why do they only make noise when a white person does it (we do, you’re just not listening)?” but, “What can I do to help?”, “How can I be a part of the solution?” “Why do I only hear about this when race is involved?”
Because it does affect you in some way or another. I can’t fully explain how, for reasons of a complex nature, but it does.
